Job Summary

YS School is looking for a passionate, competent and result-oriented Mathematics Lecturer who can inspire students to develop strong conceptual understanding, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to make Mathematics engaging and relevant for senior school students.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Mathematics to senior school students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and school academic framework.
- Develop strong conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning among students.
- Prepare effective lesson plans, teaching resources, assignments, worksheets and assessments.
- Use innovative and activity-based teaching methodologies wherever appropriate.
- Identify individual learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support and remedial guidance.
- Regularly assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Prepare students effectively for board examinations, competitive examinations and other academic assessments.
- Encourage logical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem-solving and application-based learning.
- Monitor students' academic progress and communicate relevant concerns to the Coordinator/Academic Head.
- Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings, academic reviews and school activities.




- Contribute to question-paper setting, evaluation, moderation and examination-related responsibilities.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and academic standards.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, engaging and respectful classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development programmes, training sessions and academic initiatives of the school.
- Undertake any other academic responsibilities assigned by the Principal/Academic Head.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Master's degree in Mathematics from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. is preferred/required as applicable to the position and board requirements.
- Strong command of Mathematics and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of CBSE curriculum and assessment practices will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for teaching will be preferred.

Experience

- Candidates with 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior school level will be preferred.
- Experience of teaching Classes XI–XII and preparing students for CBSE Board examinations will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with proven academic results and experience in competitive-examination preparation may be given preference.
