Position: Room Attendant

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and assigned areas in a clean, hygienic, organized, and presentable condition while ensuring a high standard of guest comfort and service.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas.
- Make beds, change bed linen, towels, and other room amenities.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize rooms and bathrooms thoroughly.
- Replenish toiletries, drinking water, and other guest supplies.
- Check rooms for cleanliness, damages, and maintenance issues.
- Report lost and found items, maintenance problems, and room defects immediately.
- Follow hotel cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
- Respect guest privacy and hotel property at all times.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment,



and supplies in an organized manner.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and Housekeeping Supervisor regarding room status.
- Respond politely and professionally to reasonable guest requests.
- Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

- Previous hotel/housekeeping experience preferred.
- Freshers may also be considered based on suitability.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform housekeeping duties.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Honest, punctual, responsible, and customer-oriented.
