Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Automation & API Test Engineer with 8–10 years of experience in designing and implementing test automation solutions across UI, API, and integration layers. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on automation expertise and the ability to drive QA automation strategy and best practices.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
- Lead automation initiatives and define automation strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Perform comprehensive API testing, including request/response validation, authentication, data integrity, and error handling.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.




- Review automation code and mentor junior automation engineers.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and framework scalability.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and Product Owners in Agile environments.
- Prepare test reports, metrics, and quality status updates for stakeholders.

Required Skills

- 8–10 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in UI, API, and Integration Testing.
- Expertise in automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
- Strong programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience in API automation and validation.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, QA processes, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have

- Experience with microservices and distributed applications.
- Exposure to performance testing.
- Experience with Docker and cloud-based testing.
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Robust leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
