About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Local SEO Expert who can independently manage and grow the organic and local search presence of businesses targeting customers across the USA.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Google Business Profile (GBP), local keyword rankings, citation building, local landing pages, technical SEO, review strategies, and local link building. You should understand how to improve visibility across both Google Search and Google Maps/Local Pack, with a strong focus on generating calls, leads, direction requests, and other measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for multiple USA-based local businesses.
- Improve rankings in the Google Local Pack, Google Maps, and organic search results.
- Conduct local keyword research based on services, cities, ZIP codes, neighborhoods, and search intent.
- Develop and execute Local SEO strategies for businesses operating in single and multiple locations.
- Optimize GBP categories, services, products, business descriptions, photos, posts, Q&A;, and other profile elements.
- Monitor and resolve GBP issues, suspensions, duplicates, ownership conflicts, and profile inconsistencies.
- Perform NAP consistency audits and manage local citations across relevant directories.
- Build high-quality local citations and niche-specific directory listings.
- Create strategies for acquiring local backlinks and geographically relevant mentions.
- Conduct competitor analysis covering GBP rankings, reviews, citations, backlinks, content, and local visibility.
- Optimize city, service-area, location, and service landing pages.
- Implement on-page SEO, including titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, schema, and content optimization.
- Implement and audit LocalBusiness, Service, Organization, FAQ, Review, and relevant schema markup.




- Develop strategies for generating and managing customer reviews while following Google guidelines.
- Identify and address technical SEO issues affecting local rankings and indexation.
- Monitor rankings at city, neighborhood, ZIP-code, and grid level.
- Work closely with content, outreach, development, and PPC teams.
- Track calls, forms, GBP interactions, direction requests, website visits, and other lead-generation metrics.
- Prepare monthly Local SEO reports with clear insights, actions completed, performance changes, and next steps.
- Stay updated with Google Business Profile changes, Local Search updates, AI-driven search developments, and evolving Local SEO best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with significant experience managing Local SEO campaigns.
- Proven experience working with USA-based local businesses.
- Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization and ranking factors.
- Experience managing service-area businesses and multi-location businesses.
