Job Description: Pharmacist / Pharmacy Assistant – Apollo Pharmacy

About the Role

Apollo Pharmacy is seeking a qualified, customer-focused, and responsible Pharmacist / Pharmacy Assistant to deliver safe, accurate, and high-quality pharmaceutical services. The role involves supporting medication dispensing, customer counseling, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day pharmacy operations while ensuring a positive and trusted customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines accurately in accordance with established clinical, safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Review prescriptions carefully to identify dosage concerns, potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and other medication-related issues, and escalate concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional when required.
- Provide customers with transparent guidance on medication usage, including dosage, administration, storage, potential side effects, precautions, and adherence to prescribed treatment.
- Respond to customer queries regarding medicines and healthcare products within the scope of the role and appropriately refer clinical or medication-related questions to the Pharmacist.
- Promote preventive healthcare by providing appropriate information on wellness, self-care, and responsible use of healthcare products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, State Pharmacy Council requirements, professional standards, and Apollo Pharmacy policies and procedures.




- Maintain accurate and timely records of prescriptions, billing transactions, inventory movements, and other mandatory pharmacy documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of medicines and healthcare products.
- Check batch details and expiry dates and ensure medicines are stored under appropriate conditions to maintain product quality and safety.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, where required, to clarify prescriptions and address medication-related queries.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service by addressing customer questions and concerns professionally, courteously, empathetically, and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, hygienic, and compliant pharmacy environment in line with operational, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Support health awareness programmes, vaccination drives, health camps, wellness initiatives, and other community healthcare activities as assigned.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to efficient pharmacy operations and continuous process improvement.
- Support store-level activities such as stock verification, inventory reconciliation, merchandising, billing, and other operational requirements, as applicable to the role.
- Work collaboratively with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Assistants, Store Managers, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
