Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quantity Surveyor with at least 2 years of experience in the construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, preparation and verification of bills, subcontractor billing, rate analysis, and cost monitoring of construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, contracts, measurement procedures, and standard construction practices in India.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for construction works.
- Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and rate analyses.
- Verify quantities executed at site and prepare measurement sheets.
- Prepare and certify client bills, subcontractor bills, and vendor bills.
- Check contractor/subcontractor invoices against actual work completed.
- Monitor project costs and compare actual expenditure against approved budgets.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, quotations, and bid comparisons.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify variations and additional works.
- Prepare and maintain variation statements and change-order documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and procurement teams.
- Assist in material reconciliation and monitoring of material consumption.
- Maintain records of measurements, bills, purchase orders, work orders, and project-related commercial documents.
- Support monthly cost reports and project cash-flow forecasting.
- Ensure quantities and billing are completed in accordance with contractual requirements.




- Assist in final account preparation and project cost reconciliation.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Billing Engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and construction measurement.
- Good understanding of civil construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs.
- Knowledge of rate analysis and construction costing.
- Experience in client and subcontractor billing.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reading drawings and extracting quantities.
- Familiarity with ERP, billing, or quantity-estimation software will be an advantage.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with project and site teams.

Preferred Knowledge

Candidates with knowledge of the following will have an advantage:

- IS Codes and standard construction practices.
- Tendering and procurement processes.
- Contract administration.
- Material reconciliation.
- Cost control and project budgeting.
- Variation and change-order management.
- Basic understanding of GST and construction-related commercial documentation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be commercially aware, organised, and capable of handling multiple billing and quantity-related activities. The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with site teams and contractors and should be able to maintain accurate project cost and quantity records.
