Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project s technical direction and serving as the main liaison for stakeholders. The position demands coordinating efforts across various teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions. The engineer actively oversees the progress of development activities, addresses challenges as they arise, and ensures that the applications meet the required standards and business needs. Collaboration and leadership are central to driving the project forward effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the planning and execution of development tasks to meet project timelines.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency and quality.
Qualified & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming concepts and HANA database integration.
- Experience in designing and implementing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements within SAP environments.
- Ability to optimize code for performance improvements in SAP HANA systems.
- Familiarity with debugging, testing, and troubleshooting SAP ABAP applications.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies in SAP projects.
