Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to teach high school students following the ICSE curriculum. The candidate should have robust subject expertise, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to make Chemistry engaging through conceptual teaching, practical demonstrations, experiments, and real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the ICSE curriculum.
- Teach Chemistry to high school students, with a focus on conceptual clarity and application-based learning.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct laboratory practicals and demonstrations while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare students for ICSE examinations through structured revision, assessments, and exam-oriented practice.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
- Encourage scientific thinking, curiosity, problem-solving, and analytical skills among students.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies, digital tools, smart classroom resources, and activity-based learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments, lesson plans,



and academic progress.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress effectively.
- Collaborate with the Science Department and other teachers in planning academic activities.
- Contribute to school events, co-curricular activities, projects, exhibitions, and other academic initiatives.
- Stay updated with developments in Chemistry education and relevant ICSE curriculum requirements.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Additional teaching certifications or relevant professional development will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed school.
- Experience teaching ICSE curriculum at the high school level will be preferred.
- Experience handling Classes 8–10 and ICSE Board examination preparation will be an added advantage. Current school-role postings commonly emphasize Chemistry subject expertise, practical/lab teaching, assessment, classroom management, and B.Ed. qualification.
