- To be responsible for the effective functioning of all medical equipment in the hospital.
- To attend/ supervise break down call of medical equipment.
- To carry out Preventive Maintenance of medical equipment.
- To make sure calibration of equipment as per schedules.
- To maintain the logs of all breakdown calls & preventive maintenance of equipment.
- To keep record of all equipment in the hospital.
- To follow systems and procedures while performing duties.
- To minimize the down time period of all medical equipment.
- To do routine checking of equipment on a daily basis.
- To attend emergency calls during off duty time.
- To supervise meticulously and take stock of all equipment and accessories during installations.




- To maintain the records of AMC/ Warranty and supervise the company representative’s visits during this.
- To be responsible for biomedical stores and repair workshops.
- To establish and maintain cordial relations with manufacturers, suppliers and hospital user department to expedite information exchange and timely attention and response.
- To oversee the functioning of medical gas plant, gas supply & medical furniture.
- To oversee surgical instruments, their procurement, repairs and monitoring of its need and CAPEX associated with it in association with medical heads, unit heads and various consultants.
