Site Engineer – Civil

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Experience

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in civil construction, preferably with a civil contractor or contracting organisation.

Candidates with experience in multistoried building construction and prior experience with a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) organisation will be preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically competent and responsible Site Engineer – Civil to oversee and coordinate day-to-day construction activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, quality monitoring, manpower coordination, documentation, and ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
- Manage execution of multistoried building works, including foundation, RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, finishing, and other civil works.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project personnel.
- Monitor and manage workers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure efficient utilisation of manpower.
- Check work progress, workmanship, material usage, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager / PMC team and report daily progress, site issues, delays, and requirements.
- Read and interpret structural, architectural, and other construction drawings and coordinate with the concerned teams for clarification of technical issues.
- Maintain proper site documentation, records, measurements, checklists, inspection requests, daily reports, and progress reports.




- Assist in preparation and verification of work-related documents, quantity statements, material requirements, and site reports.
- Monitor construction progress against the project schedule and take necessary follow-up actions to avoid delays.
- Coordinate inspection and approval of completed works with consultants and client representatives.
- Ensure proper quality control and safety practices are followed at the site.
- Identify construction-related problems and coordinate with the concerned personnel for timely resolution.
- Manage multiple site activities simultaneously and ensure effective coordination between different trades and agencies.
- Support the Project Manager / PMC team in overall site management and project coordination.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned in connection with the successful execution of the project.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong practical knowledge of building construction and site execution.
- Experience in multistoried building construction is essential.
- Good knowledge of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, finishing, and related civil works.
- Good ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Good documentation and report preparation skills.
- Solid manpower and worker management skills.
- Good planning, organisation, and site management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Positive attitude, responsible approach, and willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Quick learning ability and willingness to learn new construction methods, systems, and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
