Role Description The GeM Portal Consultant will manage and optimize the company's presence on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. This contract role involves registering and updating product listings, monitoring tenders and bids, and ensuring timely submission of proposals. The consultant will coordinate with internal teams for pricing, documentation, and compliance requirements, while tracking orders, resolving portal-related issues, and maintaining accurate records of all GeM transactions. This is a hybrid role based in Tiruppur, where the consultant will work partly on-site and partly from home,



depending on business needs.

Qualifications

- Experience in managing GeM portal activities, including vendor registration, product catalog management, tender search, and bid submission.
- Robust understanding of government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and documentation for public sector contracts.
- Proficiency in using online portals, spreadsheets, and basic office software to track orders, bids, and reports.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with sales, finance, and operations teams to gather information and ensure accurate portal entries.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify relevant opportunities on GeM and improve bid success rates.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Prior experience in textiles or manufacturing, especially dealing with institutional or government buyers, is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, commerce, or a related field.
