Assistant Professor / Associate Professor

Reporting To

Director – School of Business and Commerce

Role Purpose

The faculty member shall contribute to the University's academic excellence through teaching, research, student mentoring, industry engagement, curriculum development, and institutional service. The role is responsible for fostering an engaging learning environment, advancing knowledge through research and innovation, and supporting the University's mission of academic excellence and societal impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the assigned discipline.
- Develop and update course content, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources.
- Employ innovative, technology-enabled, and experiential teaching methodologies.
- Ensure achievement of course outcomes and program outcomes.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely academic feedback.

2. Research & Scholarly Contributions

- Conduct high-quality research in the relevant discipline.
- Publish in reputed journals and participate in conferences, seminars, and academic forums.
- Contribute to funded research projects, consultancy assignments, case writing, patents, and intellectual property generation.
- Support interdisciplinary and industry-relevant research initiatives.

3. Student Mentoring & Development

- Mentor students in academic, professional, and career development activities.
- Guide projects, internships, dissertations, and research assignments.
- Encourage participation in competitions, certifications, innovation activities, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Support student development and employability enhancement initiatives.

4. Curriculum Development & Academic Innovation

- Participate in curriculum design, review, and enhancement activities.
- Integrate emerging industry practices,



technologies, and contemporary developments into academic delivery.
- Contribute to the development of electives, certifications, value-added courses, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

5. Industry Engagement

- Develop and maintain relationships with industry, qualified bodies, and academic institutions.
- Facilitate internships, live projects, guest lectures, consultancy assignments, and collaborative initiatives.
- Support placement and career development activities.
- Promote industry-academia collaboration within the assigned discipline.

6. Academic Administration & Quality Assurance

- Participate in departmental, School, and University committees.
- Contribute to accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NIRF, and University regulations.

7. Institutional Contribution

- Participate in admissions activities, outreach initiatives, faculty development programs, and University events.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and institutional development activities.
- Represent the University at academic, professional, and industry forums as appropriate.

Qualification & Experience

Assistant Professor

- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from a recognized University (Mandatory).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and academic development.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Associate Professor

- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from a recognized University (Mandatory).
- Minimum 8 years of teaching experience in higher education institutions.
- Demonstrated record of quality research publications and academic contributions.
- Experience in curriculum development, student mentoring, academic administration, and industry engagement.
