Role Description The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and contact lens evaluation, for patients across age groups. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and managing common refractive errors, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and identifying conditions that require referral to ophthalmologists. The role involves educating patients about eye health,



preventive care, and treatment plans, as well as maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation. The Optometrist will collaborate closely with medical and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and a high standard of care. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Kolkata Area.
Qualifications

Completed degree or diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution, with valid registration where applicable.
Strong clinical skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, low vision assessment, and basic binocular vision evaluation.
Ability to recognize ocular pathology and appropriately refer patients to ophthalmologists for further management.
Clear, compassionate communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
Proficiency in using standard optometric instruments and electronic medical record systems.
