Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.

- Diagnose speech and communication disorders and prepare individualized treatment plans.

- Provide therapy to clients with speech delays, articulation difficulties, stuttering, voice problems, or communication impairments due to neurological/physical conditions.

- Deliver swallowing therapy and train patients and caregivers in safe feeding techniques.

- Use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when required.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, educators,



and medical professionals.

- Counsel and train family members/caregivers to support therapy goals at home and in the community.

- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and patient progress.

- Conduct group therapy sessions, workshops, or awareness programs if required.

- Stay updated with research, new therapy techniques, and professional guidelines.

Requirements

- Clinical expertise in speech and language therapy techniques.

- Proficiency in assessment tools and AAC devices.

- Ability to design individualized therapy programs.

- Solid observation, documentation, and progress monitoring skills.

- Collaboration and teamwork in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
