Design Manager Job Description - 3 to 5 yrs experincePosition OverviewThe Design Manager will lead and oversee the design and development of projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives, brand standards, and project requirements. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple design initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Management

Oversee all phases of design projects including concept development, design documentation, coordination, and implementation. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Lead design team meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to establish project goals and deliverables.

Design Quality & Standards

Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and quality control processes. Review and approve design documentation to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and client requirements.



Implement best practices for design excellence and continuous improvement.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as primary design contact for clients and project stakeholders. Present design concepts and solutions effectively to diverse audiences. Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service delivery.

Technical Oversight

Provide technical direction on complex design challenges. Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve design issues. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of progressive design experience. Qualified licensure or certification relevant to discipline (e.g., AIA, LEED AP, NCIDQ) preferred.
