About VOH

VOH Lifestyle Private Limited is a premium optical retail chain with showrooms across Chennai and Coimbatore. We are launching our first Hyderabad showroom in Banjara Hills and are building a founding team that will set the clinical and service standard for the store from day one.

Role Summary

The Senior Optometrist is the clinical anchor of the showroom. You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, deliver accurate prescriptions, guide customers through lens and frame selection with clinical authority. As part of the launch team, you will also help establish examination protocols, equipment workflows, and clinical service standards for the new store.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical
- Issue accurate, well-documented prescriptions for spectacles and contact lenses
- Perform contact lens fitting, trials, and aftercare, including toric and multifocal lenses
- Identify ocular conditions requiring medical attention and refer customers to ophthalmologists with explicit documentation
- Maintain complete and confidential patient records as per company protocol




- Ensure calibration, upkeep, and correct usage of all optometry equipment (auto-refractor, slit lamp, lensmeter, trial set, tonometer where applicable)

Retail & Customer Experience
- Translate prescriptions into dispensing recommendations — lens type, index, coatings, and progressive designs suited to the customer’s lifestyle and budget
- Partner with sales staff to ensure clinically sound frame and lens pairing, particularly for progressives and high-power prescriptions
- Handle prescription-related customer concerns, non-adaptation cases, and remakes with professionalism
- Uphold the premium service experience expected at a VOH showroom

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom, 4-year degree) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years in clinical optometry, with at least 2 years in premium optical retail
- Demonstrated expertise in progressive lens
