Role Overview

The Store Incharge is responsible for the end-to-end management of materials, tools, and equipment at the project store for Blast Furnace and steel plant project sites. The role ensures accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and reconciliation of all materials in compliance with project requirements and ERP/SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations including receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and consumables
- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders (PO), delivery challans, and inspection certificates before acceptance
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory in ERP/SAP in real time
- Coordinate with procurement team for timely replenishment of materials and raise Material Requisitions (MR) as required




- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with system inventory; report discrepancies promptly
- Ensure proper tagging, labelling, and stacking of materials as per storage norms and safety guidelines
- Monitor shelf life of consumables, lubricants, and chemicals and ensure timely disposal of expired items
- Maintain store documentation including GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), Material Issue Slips, and return records
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for material inspection and maintain Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and test reports
- Ensure compliance with HSE norms within the store area and maintain cleanliness and order
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports and MIS to project management
- Handle returnable and non-returnable gate passes and coordinate with security for material movement
