Job Summary:
The Colour Lab Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising colour matching, shade approval, laboratory dyeing activities, and shift operations in the colour laboratory. The role ensures accurate shade development, timely sample processing, compliance with quality standards, and efficient coordination with production, dyeing, and quality departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all colour lab activities during the assigned shift.
- Monitor colour matching and shade development for woven fabrics as per customer requirements.
- Ensure laboratory dyeing and recipe preparation are carried out accurately.
- Verify colour approvals before bulk production.
- Maintain shade consistency between laboratory and production batches.
- Coordinate with dyeing, production, merchandising, and quality teams regarding shade requirements.
- Review and approve laboratory test results and colour measurements.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of colour matching equipment,



spectrophotometers, and laboratory instruments.
- Monitor chemical and dye consumption and maintain inventory records.
- Train and guide colour lab technicians and assistants on laboratory procedures and quality standards.
- Investigate shade variations and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, reports, and quality records.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Dyeing Technology, or related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in têxtile colour laboratory operations, preferably in woven fabric processing.
- Strong knowledge of colour matching, dyeing processes, and shade evaluation.
- Familiarity with spectrophotometers and colour management software.
- Valuable leadership, communication, and team management skills.
