Senior Analyst – (Data Engineer)

Business Unit: EDS Finance

Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the EDS finance. The primary focus will be to support the clients across all our Service Lines.

The role will require the individual to provide financial and management information, develop new reports and analysis in collaboration with stakeholders and systematise existing assets. A key part of the role will be presenting this information and analysis to the end user, highlighting variances and actions accordingly.

Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of financial analysis work including significant processing and checking.



They will need to build credibility and maintain relationships both within the team and the business and have ability to problem solve to overcome constraint.

This role is in a quick-changing evolving environment with several changes taking place to the team's processes and systems as the firm undertakes a Global Finance Transformation Programme. Therefore, the ideal candidate will need to be flexible and can deal with change on an on-going basis.

Key Skills & Experience
- Skills Python: (Advanced – Essential) - Strong hands-on experience writing production-quality Python (PySpark) with proven ability to develop reusable, modular, and scalable data processing code, focused on ETL/ELT pipeline development within Databricks environments.
- SQL: (Advanced – Essential) - Deep expertise in writing and optimising complex SQL queries (joins, window functions, performance tuning) with strong experience designing data models and transformations in a Lake
