The Role
Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Database Migration Engineer with specialized expertise in IBM DB2 and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS) to support a strategic AI-driven modernization program. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, designing, and executing database migration activities, ensuring seamless transition to the target state DB2 RDS on AWS setting while maintaining data integrity, performance, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:




- Lead end-to-end DB2-to-AWS RDS migration activities, including assessment, planning, execution, validation, and cutover.
- Perform schema conversion, data migration, and performance optimization to ensure successful deployments.
- Configure and manage AWS RDS environments, including security, backup/recovery, and high-availability settings.
- Collaborate with application and integration teams to ensure seamless system compatibility.
- Develop migration runbooks, rollback plans, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
- Support UAT, production deployments, and post-migration issue resolution.
