- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings of UAV components and systems.

- Ensure adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the product development process.

- Conduct feasibility studies and analyse design concepts to optimise performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during the production phase.

- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality and reliability of UAV designs.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in UAV technology and CAD software to enhance design capabilities and efficiency.

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior CAD engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.





- Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to evaluate new components and materials for integration into UAV designs.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

- Pursuing or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field

- 5+ years of experience in CAD engineering, with a focus on drone design

- Candidates must have strong fundamentals in the following areas: Aerodynamics, Aircraft Structures, Composite Manufacturing

- An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end

- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner

- Software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA & NX

- Must have knowledge of DFM

- Knowledge of Matlab/Python is preferred
