As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and securing cloud-based systems. You will work on IT infrastructure, network management, system monitoring, and security compliance while ensuring seamless operations. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS services, Linux and Windows administration, and strong problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Deploy, manage, and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure to support business operations. (E.g., provisioning EC2 instances, configuring VPCs, and setting up S3 storage solutions.)
- Install and manage Linux and Windows servers on AWS and other cloud environments. (E.g., setting up Amazon EC2 instances with appropriate security groups.)
- Troubleshoot systems and network devices to ensure smooth IT operations. (E.g., diagnosing connectivity issues between AWS resources.)
- Maintain an asset inventory of all hardware, software, and cloud resources. (E.g., tracking AWS resource usage to optimize costs.)
- Perform routine infrastructure monitoring such as system health checks, log analysis, backup and restore operations. (E.g., using AWS CloudWatch and AWS Backup for automated monitoring.)
- Ensure security controls are implemented and maintained on servers and end-user systems. (E.g., configuring AWS IAM policies, Security Groups, and AWS Shield.)
- Manage and maintain in-house web applications and cloud-based deployments. (E.g., hosting and managing applications using AWS Elastic Beanstalk or Lambda.)
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform,
AWS CloudFormation, or scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. (E.g., writing a Terraform script to automate the provisioning of an EC2 instance.)
- Collaborate with DevOps, IT support, and application development teams to optimize cloud performance. (E.g., working with developers to integrate CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline.)
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover strategies for cloud applications. (E.g., setting up multi-AZ deployments for RDS and configuring Route 53 failover policies.)
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.).
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration within a cloud workplace.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud monitoring tools.
- Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating with teams.
