- Perform hand calculations to determine the structural integrity, load distribution, stress analysis, and sizing of Aerostructure components.
- Apply engineering principles and analytical methods to assess the strength, stiffness, and stability of structural elements.
- Conduct calculations for factors such as static loads, dynamic loads, fatigue life, and buckling to ensure compliance with safety regulations and design requirements.
- Analyze and interpret calculation results to provide recommendations for design modifications or improvements based on structural analysis findings.
- Design and optimize Aerostructure components made of composite materials, considering factors such as weight, strength, durability, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Select appropriate composite materials, including fibers, resins, adhesives, and core materials, based on performance requirements and material properties.
- Utilize analytical methods and software tools to analyze composite structures, including laminate analysis, sandwich structures, and failure prediction.
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations specific to composite materials, such as ply-by-ply stress analysis, inter laminar shear stress, and composite stiffness properties.
- Utilize hand calculations and composite analysis techniques to optimize the design of Aerostructure components for weight reduction, performance enhancement, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as aerodynamics, systems engineering, and manufacturing, to integrate the structural design with overall aircraft requirements and specifications.
- Create design documents, including structural calculations, analysis reports, and technical specifications, to ensure proper documentation of the design process and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to provide guidance on composite manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Support manufacturing activities by addressing technical issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions related to composite structures.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in hand calculation methods, composite materials, and structural analysis techniques.
- Conduct research to explore new composite materials, manufacturing processes, and creative structural design concepts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master’s/PHD degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics or related ï¬elds may be preferable
- 3-8 years’ experience in the ï¬xed wing/hybrid Airframe Structure
- Advanced proficiency in Structure,Fatigue, Aeroelasticity & Damage Tolerance
- Have done the airframe load and stress analysis using analytical calculations
- Advanced knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, Vibration & Composite Modeling
- Experience with FEA Tool & Matlab.etc
- Intermediate to expert-level background using CAD software such as Autodesk, Fusion, Catia, NX Siemens, Solidworks etc
- Perform Design Modifications as per need and validating the same with Computational Tool
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess problems quickly and easily
- Should have knowledge about Geometric Dimension & Tolerance
- Ability to work collaboratively and seek assistance to solve problems
- Proven experience working within different operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS
- Demonstrate Accountability and Commitment in securing Quality, Delivery and Product feature
- Good communication skills, Learning on fly, Team player, Emphasis on Detailing & Problem-solving skills
