Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part time remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and enhancing the volunteer program at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences. In this role, the coordinator will recruit and onboard volunteers, maintain accurate volunteer records, and schedule volunteer assignments in alignment with hospital needs. The coordinator will design and deliver volunteer training, provide ongoing guidance and support, and ensure volunteers understand hospital policies, safety protocols, and patient-centered service standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with hospital departments to identify volunteer opportunities, facilitating clear communication between volunteers and staff, and recognizing volunteer contributions to encourage engagement and retention. The coordinator will also assist with community outreach initiatives, promote the volunteer program through various channels, and prepare basic reports on volunteer activities and impact.
Qualifications




Demonstrated skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively recruit, onboard, and support volunteers.
Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust, provide feedback, and collaborate with volunteers and hospital staff.
Experience or interest in Community Outreach, including promoting programs, engaging community partners, and supporting awareness initiatives.
Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate schedules and manage multiple tasks in a remote, part-time capacity.
Proficiency with basic office software and online collaboration tools for remote coordination and record keeping.
Prior experience in healthcare, non-profit, or volunteer coordination roles is an advantage.
Relevant education in social work, psychology, public health, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
