Role & responsibilities

- Legal Advice and Consultation:
- Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding property transactions, leasing, property management, and real estate investments.
- Advise clients on legal issues related to real estate, such as zoning laws, property rights, and land use regulations.
- Contract Drafting and Review:
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, and financing documents.
- Ensure that contracts are legally sound, comply with current laws and regulations, and protect the interests of the client.
- Transaction Management:
- Oversee real estate transactions from a legal perspective, ensuring that all legal documentation is properly prepared and executed.
- Conduct due diligence to verify the legal status of properties and identify any potential legal risks.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate transactions and operations.
- Assist clients in resolving disputes related to real estate transactions or property management.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Represent clients in legal disputes related to real estate, such as breach of contract, property disputes, and tenant-landlord issues.
- Work with mediators, arbitrators, or court systems to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.




- Legal Research and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough legal research on real estate laws, precedents, and regulations.
- Prepare legal documents, briefs, and reports related to real estate matters.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing legal support and advice.
- Act as a liaison between clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions.
- Training and Education:
- Provide training and updates to clients, real estate professionals, and internal teams on legal developments in real estate.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- License: Active legal license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in real estate law, preferably in a legal consultancy role.
- Skills: Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of real estate law and regulations.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal real estate laws, property rights, and transaction processes.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in real estate law (optional but preferred).
