Job Summary:
The Crewing Operator (Offshore) is responsible for the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of crew operations for offshore vessels. The role ensures timely crew changes, compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and client requirements while maintaining effective communication with seafarers, vessel management, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute crew changes for offshore vessels in accordance with the Seafarers' Employment Agreement and operational requirements.
- Ensure all assigned seafarers possess valid certifications, licenses, medical fitness, and training in compliance with Company policies, STCW, MLC, Flag State, and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate crew records and update crew management systems with employment and certification details.
- Coordinate with the Crew Wages Department regarding crew sign-on, sign-off, and any changes in employment status.
- Arrange travel, visas, hotel accommodation, transportation, and Cash to Master (CTM) as required for crew movements.
- Verify and approve travel-related expenses in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor crew availability and support timely crew planning to ensure uninterrupted vessel operations.
- Communicate and follow up on medical cases, accidents, repatriation, and other crew welfare matters with relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with vessel management, clients, manning offices, travel agents, and other internal departments to ensure smooth crew operations.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's Management System and applicable maritime regulations.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and improving crewing procedures and operational processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform any other duties assigned by the Crewing Superintendent or Management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of core experience in offshore crewing operations.
- Hands-on experience handling Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs), Cable Layers, Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS), and Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOV). Experience with Cable Layers, AHTS, and CSOV will be an added advantage.
- Seagoing experience as a Deck or Engine Officer will be an advantage.
- Alternatively, a university degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in maritime recruitment or offshore crewing will be considered an advantage.
- Good understanding of STCW, MLC, Flag State, and offshore crewing requirements.
- Experience with crew management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
