Position Overview: IT Network Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Network Administrator to design, implement, and manage the companys network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and infrastructure management. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and reliability for all users.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage company-wide network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems,



and antivirus solutions.
- Configure and manage network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Perform regular backups and execute disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate with IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to network connectivity and performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in networking technologies; recommend and implement improvements as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role, with a minimum of 2–3 years of experience.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with network security concepts and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Hands-on experience with networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Sophos, and Fortinet.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
