About the Role

Blessing Softtech is looking for a UI/UX Designer who can own the full design cycle — from understanding user problems to shipping polished, production-ready interfaces. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to turn requirements into intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent experiences across web and mobile.

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable moving between research and pixels: running a usability session in the morning and refining a design system component in the afternoon. You should be able to justify your design decisions with reasoning and evidence, not just aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

User Research & Discovery

- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis to understand user needs and pain points.
- Translate research findings into personas, user journeys, and problem statements that guide design direction.
- Partner with product and business teams to clarify requirements and define success metrics for each feature.

Experience Design

- Design information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for new and existing products.
- Run usability tests, synthesise feedback, and iterate designs based on what you learn.
- Simplify complex workflows into clear, low-friction journeys across responsive web and native mobile.

Interface & Visual Design

- Produce high-fidelity UI designs that are visually refined, on-brand, and technically feasible.
- Build and maintain design system components, tokens, and usage guidelines to keep products consistent at scale.
- Apply accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) to colour, contrast, typography, states,



and interaction patterns.
- Craft micro-interactions and motion that clarify system behaviour rather than decorate it.

Collaboration & Delivery

- Hand off developer-ready specs, assets, and prototypes, and stay involved through implementation and QA.
- Review built screens against designs and flag deviations before release.
- Present work and rationale clearly to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback without losing the user's perspective.
- Contribute to design critiques and help raise the craft bar across the team.

Required Qualifications

- 3–5 years of professional experience designing digital products (web and mobile).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work: the problem, your process, the decisions you made, and the shipped outcome.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping.
- Solid grounding in UX fundamentals — information architecture, interaction patterns, heuristics, and usability testing.
- Strong visual design skills: typography, layout, grid systems, colour theory, and hierarchy.
- Working knowledge of design systems and component-based design.
- Understanding of responsive and adaptive design across breakpoints and devices.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end constraints — enough to design what can realistically be built.
- Explicit written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain design decisions to non-designers.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Fine Arts, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
