Role Description The Technical Manager – DeltaV | Pune is a full-time hybrid role, based in the Pune Division with flexibility for partial work from home. This position oversees DeltaV-related technical operations, including managing project execution, ensuring proper configuration, implementation, and integration of automation solutions, and providing advanced technical support to internal teams and customers.
The Technical
Manager leads and mentors a technical team, coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement initiatives in line with global and regional standards. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project requirements, guiding R&D; activities related to DeltaV applications,
troubleshooting complex system issues, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality and safety guidelines. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, participating in customer meetings, and representing Caltrol’s technical capabilities to support long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data, diagnose issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated team management capabilities, including mentoring, performance guidance, and collaboration across multidisciplinary groups.
- Hands-on experience providing technical support for automation systems, preferably Emerson DeltaV or similar process control platforms.
- Background in research and development (R&D;), with experience evaluating new technologies and improving existing automation solutions.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, resource coordination, risk management, and on-time delivery of technical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent technical discipline.
- Knowledge of process control, industrial automation, and safety standards; experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or related industries is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, managing priorities independently, and coordinating with teams across locations and time zones.
