Technical Lead - RTR Platform

Role Overview :

As Technical Lead for RTR, you will own the architecture and engineering execution of the RTR platform. You will lead a team of backend and integration engineers, make key design decisions, drive quality practices, and serve as the primary technical bridge between Engineering, Product, and Business for the RTR domain.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead architecture and technical delivery of the RTR platform: reconciliation engines, transaction pipelines, regulatory reporting, and RTA/exchange integrations.
- Own HLD/LLD, API contracts, data models, and integration specifications for all RTR components.
- Lead and mentor a team of 48 backend engineers; conduct code reviews, design reviews, and 1:1 mentoring sessions.
- Drive technical decisions on scalability, fault tolerance, idempotency, and data correctness for high-volume financial transaction processing.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices: test coverage standards, code quality gates, CI/CD governance, and deployment controls.
- Own production reliability: drive incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive controls.
- Integrate AI capabilities into RTR workflows: intelligent reconciliation exception handling, anomaly detection, and automated regulatory report validation.
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Operations to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage integrations with BSE StarMF, NSE NMF-II, CAMS, KFintech, CKYC, Account Aggregator, and NPCI.
- Drive platform modernisation:



migrate legacy batch processes to event-driven microservices on Kafka.

Required Qualifications :

- 712 years of backend engineering experience; 2+ years in a tech lead or senior engineering role.
- Deep expertise in NodeJS, microservices, and serverless architecture.
- Robust hands-on skills in Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL, distributed systems design, and high-throughput API development.
- Proven track record owning architecture and delivery of complex, production-critical financial systems.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Working knowledge of the Indian wealth management technology ecosystem: MF transaction platforms, RTA systems, exchange connectivity, and regulatory reporting.
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science from a reputed institution.

Good to Have :

- Experience with SEBI/AMFI compliance requirements embedded into product engineering.
- Exposure to Account Aggregator, V-CIP, and CKYC regulatory integrations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML in financial platforms: anomaly detection, NLP-based document processing, AI-assisted reconciliation.
- Prior experience at an AMC, RTA, wealth-tech company, or NBFC technology team.

AI Expectations :

- Mandate and model AI-assisted development across the RTR team: Copilot, Cursor, Claude as standard tools.
- Deliver AI-augmented features within the RTR platform starting with exception handling and anomaly detection.
- Define measurable outcomes for AI integrations that reduce manual intervention in reconciliation workflows.
