Sutherland is looking for an experienced VOICE Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js, JavaScript and Java to develop and maintain backend services and APIs for voice and contact center solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience along with good knowledge of Linux, RDBMS and real-time communication technologies.
Experience working with contact center platforms such as Genesys, Cisco or similar will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test and deploy backend services and APIs using Node.js and Java.
- Work on backend components for voice and contact center solutions.
- Develop and maintain real-time communication components using SIP and RTP.
- Design and optimize relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and performance-related issues.
- Develop scalable and high-performing backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical and architectural discussions.
- Work closely with Product, Architecture, QA and other teams to deliver quality solutions.
- Contribute to integrations with contact center platforms and related technologies.
Required Skills &
Experience :
- Strong experience in backend development using Node.js, JavaScript and Java.
- Strong understanding of Linux and backend application deployment.
- Valuable knowledge of RDBMS, data modelling, normalization, transactions and ACID principles.
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing optimized queries.
- Hands-on experience with backend APIs and services.
- Good understanding of SIP and RTP or other real-time communication protocols.
- Experience building scalable and reliable backend applications.
Good to Have :
- Experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, optimization, stored procedures, functions and triggers.
- Experience working with Genesys, Cisco or similar contact center platforms.
- Experience with voice, contact center or communication products.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus or Grafana
