A Store Head for a Ferro Alloys manufacturing unit manages raw materials (ores, coal, scrap), consumables, and finished goods, ensuring inventory accuracy, timely supply to production, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities include receiving, issuing, and storing materials (FIFO/FEFO), inventory reconciliation, and maintaining material traceability.

Key Responsibilities: Store Head (Ferro Alloys Plant)

- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of raw materials (coke, manganese ore, iron ore) and finished alloys (Ferro Silicon, Ferro Manganese).

- Material Issuance & Receipt: Oversee the receipt, unloading, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring strict adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods.

- Inventory Management System: Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory levels, minimizing wastage and ensuring zero stockouts for continuous furnace production.

- Quality & Storage Management: Monitor storage conditions (e.g., moisture control for alloys) to prevent degradation.

- Documentation & Compliance:



Maintain meticulously prepared ledgers and digital records for daily consumption and audit purposes.

- Safety & Safety Compliance: Ensure the store adheres to factory safety standards, proper stacking, and hazard control.

- Team Leadership: Supervise the junior store staff and inventory clerks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or a Diploma in Materials Management.

- Experience: 15 years of experience in store management, specifically in steel or ferro alloy manufacturing environments.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally), inventory management, and MS Office.

- Core Competencies: Solid knowledge of material handling, inventory reconciliation, and leadership skills.
