Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled R Shiny Developer to join our Data Engineering and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in R programming, data processing, and visualization, with the ability to develop and deploy interactive, data-driven web applications using R Shiny.

The role will focus on transforming data into meaningful insights through robust applications and dashboards. Pharmaceutical industry experience is not mandatory, but familiarity with the Pharma/Healthcare domain will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

R Shiny Application Development

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain interactive web applications using R Shiny.
- Build applications that are scalable, secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
- Support application deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Data Engineering & Management
- Work with large datasets while maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Collaborate with data engineers on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and prepare datasets for use within R Shiny applications.
- Perform data preparation, transformation, and validation as required.

Data Visualization & Analytics
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations that clearly communicate data-driven insights.
- Use R and related analytical tools to explore data, perform analysis, and generate reports.
- Select appropriate visualization techniques based on business and analytical requirements.

Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with data scientists, data analysts, engineers,



and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in team discussions, project planning, and status meetings.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation & Development Practices
- Maintain transparent documentation throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Follow established best practices for coding, version control, testing, and application development.
- Contribute to improving development processes and overall code quality.

Qualifications:

Education

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in R programming with hands-on experience in R Shiny.
- Experience with R data manipulation packages such as dplyr and tidyr.
- Experience with data visualization libraries such as ggplot2 and plotly.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an advantage.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Experience

- Proven experience developing and deploying R Shiny applications.
- Practical experience with data engineering and ETL processes.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is desirable.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry or familiarity with Healthcare data.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning or advanced analytics.
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Python.
