Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Sr. Accountant, to contribute to our AI based defence projects. The selected candidate will play a key role in designing and maintaining the finances for smooth flow of the project. Responsibilities may include:

✓ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project expenditures against approved budgets. ✓ Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting for both project and day-to-day company operations.

✓ Ensure strict compliance with applicable government accounting, taxation, and auditing regulations.

✓ Prepare periodic financial statements, balance sheets, and project-specific financial reports.

✓ Oversee and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely availability of all required documentation.

✓ Monitor project budgets, track variances, and provide early warnings for potential cost overruns. ✓ Implement and manage cost control systems to justify and validate all resource expenditures.

✓ Apply resource depreciation and amortization principles to project assets and maintain proper records.





✓ Support project teams with financial forecasting, fund allocation, and milestone-based disbursements.

✓ Handle corporate accounting tasks such as ledger maintenance, asset tracking, and vendor payments.

✓ Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders for seamless financial management.

✓ Review financial processes regularly to suggest and implement improvements ensuring transparency and compliance.

✓ Ensure that all expenditures are adequately supported by documentation and conform to the budgeted framework.

✓ Provide management with timely financial analysis, insights, and recommendations for decision-making.

✓ Support the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring smooth cash flow, payroll, and general ledger management.

Qualifications: Candidate must have Bachelor's/Master’s degree Accounting, Finance or a related field; Proven professional experience (7- 10 years) in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and auditing standards. Technical and Inter-personal skills:

✓ Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

✓ Bookkeeping Expertise: Proficiency in managing ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.

✓ Budgeting & Forecasting: Strong understanding of project budgeting, financial forecasting,



and variance analysis.

✓ Tax Compliance: Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including VAT, income tax, and corporate taxation.

✓ Audit & Compliance: Familiarity with internal and external audit processes, as well as adherence to government accounting and auditing procedures.

✓ Cost Accounting & Control: Expertise in cost justification, cost control, and applying depreciation/amortization principles.

✓ Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or others) for managing financial records.

✓ Financial Analysis: Ability to assess financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.

✓ Resource Management: Strong understanding of asset tracking, depreciation, and resource allocation across projects.

✓ Cash Flow Management: Experience in managing daily cash flow, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.

✓ Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate with team members across departments.

✓ Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and maintain meticulous financial records.

✓ Problem-Solving: Capability to address financial issues, resolve discrepancies, and make strategic recommendations for cost optimization.
