Abou the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Test Automation Specialist to help modernize our automation strategy by converting existing Tosca automation to Playwright and building new front-end automation for web applications.
The ideal candidate is a strong developer who brings practical experience with Playwright and TypeScript, along with solid Python skills for data integration, test-data preparation, and validation.
What You’ll Do
- Assess existing Tosca automation and determine what should be migrated, redesigned, consolidated, or retired.
- Convert prioritized Tosca test cases and reusable components into maintainable Playwright automation.
- Build front-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop reusable page objects, fixtures, test-data utilities, assertions, and framework components.
- Create reliable functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Use Playwright traces, screenshots, videos, reports, and logs to diagnose failures and reduce test flakiness.
- Develop Python utilities for test-data setup, data transformation,
API integration, file processing, database interaction, and data validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve execution speed, stability, and reporting.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and QA engineers to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to automation standards, code reviews, framework documentation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining Playwright automation.
- Solid TypeScript or advanced JavaScript development skills.
- Experience with test automation architecture, including page objects, fixtures, test isolation, test data, configuration, and reporting.
- Experience troubleshooting asynchronous behavior, flaky tests, browser issues, and environment problems.
- Experience with Tricentis Tosca or migrating automation from a legacy/commercial tool to a code-based framework.
- Strong Python development skills, including reusable modules, error handling, logging, testing, and integration with APIs or data sources.
- Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV, SQL, or other structured data.
