Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4–8 years of experience in designing and developing scalable test automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, API automation, and CI/CD practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to build reliable automation frameworks, improve product quality, and enable faster software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop automated test suites for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
- Build data-driven, modular, and maintainable automation solutions following industry best practices.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Improve automation stability, execution speed, and maintainability through continuous framework enhancements.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to define effective test strategies and quality gates.
- Develop utilities, reusable libraries, and test data management solutions to improve automation productivity.
- Perform API testing using REST APIs and validate responses, schemas, and database records.
- Create meaningful automation reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to provide visibility into product quality.
- Review automation code, mentor junior team members, and promote engineering best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities.
- Stay current with emerging testing tools, AI-assisted automation techniques, and modern quality engineering practices.
AI-Driven Engineering Expectations
Engineers are expected to actively incorporate AI-assisted workflows into daily development, including test generation, defect analysis, and coverage improvement. AI-generated outputs must be reviewed, validated, and owned by the engineer.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
4-8 years of hands-on software development experience in full-stack roles.
Experience with Playwright or equivalent test automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium).
Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation, and basic familiarity with NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Proven experience working on SaaS-based applications with high availability and scalability.
