Service Engineer Jobs in Chennai

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy fabrication machinery and industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in heavy mechanical systems and be comfortable working at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and commission heavy fabrication machinery and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Attend breakdown calls and restore equipment with minimum downtime.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, gearbox, bearing, shaft, coupling, and rotating equipment issues.
- Carry out alignment of motors, gearboxes, shafts, and couplings.
- Conduct machine inspections and recommend performance improvements.
- Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance reports, and inspection documentation.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, safety, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and PPE guidelines.
- Support Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) projects and customer service activities.





Educational Qualification

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Required

- 3–4 years of experience in:

- Industrial Equipment
- Material Handling Equipment
- Maintenance Engineering
- Mechanical Service Engineering
