ROLE:

We are undergoing a major architectural transition to a pure Next.js ecosystem. As our Senior Web Developer, you will drive this initiative by architecting and scaling our new web properties using React, Next.js, and Payload CMS. Your foundational knowledge of WordPress will be utilized to map legacy data and safely migrate us away from our old stack. Because digital visibility in our B2B space is critical, candidates with a robust grasp of Technical and On-Page SEO are highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- CMS Migration: Lead the end-to-end migration of our digital properties from legacy WordPress to a modern, high-performance Next.js web application.
- Architect & Build: Design and develop scalable, server-side rendered and statically generated pages using Vercel, React and Next.js.
- Payload Integration: Implement and manage Payload CMS natively within our Next.js ecosystem to empower our marketing and content teams.
- Legacy Decommissioning: Navigate our existing WordPress setup to audit content, map data structures,



and safely migrate assets over to the new stack.
- SEO & Performance: Bake technical SEO into the core architecture. Optimize Core Web Vitals, manage dynamic meta-tags, schema markup, and ensure lightning-fast page load speeds.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, set development standards, and collaborate closely with our design and leadership teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience: 5+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or architectural role.
- Core Stack Mastery: Deep, production-level expertise in React.js and Next.js (you should be highly comfortable with advanced Next.js rendering strategies and routing).
- Modern CMS: Hands-on experience with Payload CMS (or a very strong background in similar Node-based CMS platforms and a readiness to adopt Payload).
- WordPress Basics: Enough knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem (basic PHP, database structures, wp-admin) to successfully extract data and migrate away from it.
- Web Fundamentals: Mastery of HTML5, CSS3, modern styling (Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, etc.), and responsive design principles.

BONUS POINTS:

- Technical SEO Expertise: Deep understanding of server-side rendering benefits for search, canonicals, robots.txt, structured data/schema, and WCAG accessibility standards.
- B2B / Tech Industry Experience: Previous experience building web platforms for SaaS, IoT, manufacturing, or deep-tech companies.
- TypeScript: Strong proficiency in TypeScript for safer, more predictable codebases.
