As part of our next phase of growth, we are launching our ETP & ZLD Chemicals vertical, focused on high-performance chemicals and technical solutions for industrial water treatment, wastewater recovery, and water reuse across manufacturing industries.

We are looking for a technically strong and entrepreneurial leader who can build and lead this vertical from the ground up.

Position overview: Senior Manager– ETP & ZLD Chemicals will be responsible for developing, scaling, and leading TerraMag’s industrial water treatment chemicals business. The role requires deep technical understanding of ETP, RO, and ZLD systems along with the ability to build products, solve customer problems, drive commercial growth, and create a high-performing technical and business team. This is a leadership role with end-to-end ownership of the vertical.

Key responsibilities

1) Technical leadership

- Lead the development and positioning of TerraMag’s ETP & ZLD chemicals portfolio.
- Provide technical expertise in industrial water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Support customers in optimizing ETP, RO, UF, and ZLD systems.
- Conduct technical evaluations, site assessments, water analysis, and solution recommendations.

2) Business & vertical leadership

- Build and scale the ETP & ZLD chemicals business as an independent growth vertical.
- Develop the go-to-market strategy across target industries.




- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and product categories.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer acquisition.
- Build relationships with factory owners, plant heads, utility heads, ETP managers, consultants, EPC contractors, and channel partners.
- Co-ordinate the operations with TerraMag’s processing facility to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and ensure efficient execution across the verticals

3) Product & commercial management

- Work with sourcing and manufacturing teams for product development and quality.
- Define product specifications, positioning, pricing, and commercialization strategies.
- Manage key accounts and large industrial customers.
- Lead technical presentations, customer trials, demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.

4) Team building & execution

- Build and lead the technical and business team for the vertical.
- Mentor application engineers and technical sales professionals.
- Establish operating processes, technical documentation, training modules, and customer support systems.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, finance, and leadership teams to scale the business.

5) Required technical knowledge

Strong understanding of

- Industrial wastewater treatment (ETP/STP/CETP)
- Reverse osmosis (RO), ultrafiltration (UF), and membrane systems
- Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems
- Coagulation and flocculation chemistry
- Membrane scaling, fouling, and cleaning
- Biological treatment processes & Sludge management
- Water quality analysis and treatment optimization
- Take complete ownership of the growth and development of the ETP & ZLD Chemicals vertical.




- Develop and execute the sales strategy for industrial water treatment chemicals across target industries.
- Generate current business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline through direct customer engagement, consultants, EPC contractors, channel partners, and industrial networks.
- Lead customer acquisition, key account management, technical-commercial discussions, negotiations, and order closures.
- Achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets for the vertical.
- Identify recent product opportunities, market gaps, and customer requirements to expand the product portfolio.
- Build the vertical from the ground up, including market positioning, business planning, team expansion, and operational processes.
- Develop long-term relationships with plant heads, utility managers, ETP managers, procurement teams, and decision-makers across industrial sectors.
- Work closely with leadership to define annual growth plans, budgets, and expansion strategies.
- Establish TerraMag as a technically credible and commercially strong brand in the industrial water treatment segment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial water treatment chemicals, ETP/ZLD operations, water treatment solution companies, specialty chemicals, or environmental engineering.
- Experience in handling industrial customers and technical-commercial discussions.
