About the Role

Caresmith is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Executive for Sourcing to manage end-to-end procurement order planning, supplier coordination, artwork approvals, quality control, and payments — while also supporting domestic sourcing and new product development. This role works closely with design, warehouse, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure products are sourced, produced, and delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Order Planning, Processing & Payments

- Plan and track weekly orders; raise and follow up orders with suppliers (incl. via Alibaba) as per confirmed requirements.
- Review PIs, order workings, spare parts/FOC and packing accessory requirements; maintain accurate supplier and order records.
- Confirm BIS and other compliance requirements are valid through shipment arrival in India.
- Coordinate with Finance on payment processing and verify payment terms, documents, and details before approval.

Domestic Purchase & Vendor Onboarding

- Manage domestic (India-based) purchase requirements for parts, packaging, and ad-hoc procurement needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard current domestic vendors — including due diligence, rate negotiation, and documentation.
- Build and maintain a reliable domestic vendor base to support faster turnaround and contingency sourcing.

Artwork, Quality & Warehouse Coordination





- Coordinate artwork requests and approvals with the Design team, ensuring LMPC compliance before sending to suppliers.
- Prepare QC checklists and review third-party/warehouse inspection reports; escalate major findings for rework or acceptance.
- Liaise with the Warehouse team on defect/shortage tracking and coordinate corrective quantities with suppliers.

New Product Development

- Assist the NPD process by supporting supplier identification, costing, sampling, and feasibility checks for new products.
- Coordinate between design, sourcing, and suppliers to move new product samples from concept to production-ready.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
- 2–4 years in procurement/sourcing, with exposure to overseas (China) and domestic vendor management.
- Working knowledge of trade documentation (PI, PL, CI), payment terms, and Incoterms; comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets.
