Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and execution of electrical building services projects. The role involves developing robust electrical systems for commercial, residential, institutional, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, developers, contractors, and multidisciplinary MEPF teams, leading projects from concept design through detailed design, construction support, testing, and final commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Design HT/LT power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, DBs, emergency power, UPS, and generator systems.
- Design internal/external lighting, lightning protection, and earthing systems, including energy-efficient and architectural lighting solutions.
- Develop SLDs, electrical layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and detailed design drawings.
- Design and integrate ELV systems including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, PA, structured cabling, and security systems.
- Perform load, maximum demand, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit/fault-level, and protection coordination calculations.
- Prepare DBRs, technical reports, specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.




- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate electrical services with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, architectural, structural, and other MEPF disciplines.
- Coordinate containment, risers, shafts, plant rooms, electrical rooms, and service spaces, and resolve design clashes.
- Lead BIM/design coordination and technical workshops with architects, clients, developers, interior designers, and contractors.
- Review tenders, contractor proposals, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and value-engineering proposals.
- Conduct site inspections and verify installation compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and project close-out.
- Lead and mentor electrical engineers, designers, and CAD/BIM teams, ensuring technical quality and timely project delivery.

Education

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional certifications or memberships in relevant engineering institutions will be an advantage.

Required Experience

- 8+ years of core electrical design experience, preferably in an MEPF engineering consultancy.
- Proven experience with high-rise, commercial, institutional, museum, hospital, hotel, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination and client-facing experience.
- Good knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit/BIM and electrical design/calculation tools.

Preferred Profile A technically solid electrical engineer with proven experience in building services design, team leadership, client coordination, tendering, and construction administration, capable of independently delivering complex MEPF projects.
