Job Responsibilities

- Lead and manage day-to-day Cold Flow Stainless Steel Tubes manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, yield, productivity, and delivery targets.

- Plan and monitor production activities for cold drawing, cold pilgering, sizing, straightening, cutting, and finishing operations.

- Ensure manufacturing processes are carried out as per approved SOPs, work instructions, process parameters, and customer specifications.

- Monitor critical process parameters and take timely corrective actions to minimize process variation and production losses.

- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, tools, dies, mandrels, consumables, and other resources.

- Drive improvement in production yield, machine productivity, OEE, throughput, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

- Control and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, downtime, and process-related defects through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Tool Room, Production, and other functions to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

- Ensure proper selection, condition, and availability of dies, plugs, mandrels, tooling, and process consumables for cold flow operations.

- Monitor machine health and coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance, breakdown reduction, and timely equipment restoration.

- Ensure compliance with quality standards, inspection requirements, traceability, and customer-specific requirements.

- Analyze production and quality data and prepare MIS, KPI reports,



and performance reviews for management.

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives within the section.

- Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve cycle time, capacity utilization, material flow, and productivity.

- Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, statutory regulations, and environmental standards.

- Lead, train, and develop production personnel to improve technical competency, discipline, productivity, and safety awareness.

- Establish and monitor departmental KPI targets for production, quality, yield, OEE, downtime, rejection, and cost.

- Support recent product development, process trials, grade changes, and process validation for new tube sizes and specifications.

- Ensure proper handling and preservation of stainless steel tubes and intermediate materials to prevent surface damage and contamination.

- Conduct regular root-cause analysis, CAPA, and problem-solving activities for recurring production and quality issues.

- Drive cost reduction through tool-life improvement, material yield optimization, energy conservation, and reduction of consumable usage.

- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to process records, production reports, inspection records, and traceability requirements.

- Promote a culture of safety, quality, productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Cold Flow manufacturing section.
