Job Purpose/ Summary

Section Head Cold Flow stainless Steel Tubes manufacturing.

Responsible for leading and managing the Cold Flow Stainless Steel Tubes Manufacturing section,



ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality stainless steel tubes as per customer specifications and applicable quality standards. The role will oversee end-to-end manufacturing activities including cold drawing, cold pilgering, straightening, sizing, cutting, finishing, and associated processes, while driving productivity, yield improvement, process optimization, and equipment utilization.

The position will lead the production team, coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Tool Room, and other cross-functional functions, and ensure adherence to SOPs, process parameters, safety standards, quality requirements, and delivery schedules. The role will also focus on continuous improvement, reduction of rejection and process losses, manpower productivity, and implementation of best manufacturing practices.

Responsibility

Lead and manage daytoday Cold Flow Stainless Steel Tubes manufacturing operations to achieve production quality yield productivity and delivery targetsbrPlan and monitor production activities for cold drawing cold pilgering sizing straightening cutting and finishing operationsbrEnsure manufacturing processes are carried out as per approved SOPs work instructions process parameters and customer specificationsbrMonitor critical process parameters and take timely corrective actions to minimize process variation and production lossesbrEnsure optimum utilization of machines manpower tools dies mandrels consumables and other resourcesbrDrive improvement in production yield machine productivity OEE throughput and overall manufacturing efficiencybrControl and reduce rejection rework scrap downtime and processrelated defects through rootcause analysis and corrective actionsbrCoordinate with Quality Maintenance Planning Tool Room Production and other functions to ensure smooth manufacturing operationsbrEnsure proper selection condition and availability of dies plugs mandrels tooling and process consumables for cold flow operationsbrMonitor machine health and coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance breakdown reduction and timely equipment restorationbrEnsure compliance with quality standards inspection requirements traceability and customerspecific requirementsbrAnalyze production and quality data and prepare MIS KPI reports and performance reviews for managementbrImplement Lean Manufacturing 5S Kaizen TPM and continuous improvement initiatives within the sectionbrIdentify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve cycle time capacity utilization material flow and productivitybrEnsure strict adherence to safety procedures PPE requirements statutory regulations and environmental standardsbrLead train and develop production personnel to improve technical competency discipline productivity and safety awarenessbrEstablish and monitor departmental KPI targets for production quality yield OEE downtime rejection and costbrSupport new product development process trials grade changes and process validation for new tube sizes and specificationsbrEnsure proper handling and preservation of stainless steel tubes and intermediate materials to prevent surface damage and contaminationbrConduct regular rootcause analysis CAPA and problemsolving activities for recurring production and quality issuesbrDrive cost reduction through toollife improvement material yield optimization energy conservation and reduction of consumable usagebrEnsure proper documentation and adherence to process records production reports inspection records and traceability requirementsbrPromote a culture of safety quality productivity accountability and continuous improvement across the Cold Flow manufacturing section
