Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Bhubaneswar, responsible for overseeing daily operations of one or more dining outlets within the PAL Heights Group of Hotels. The role includes supervising restaurant staff, managing schedules, ensuring high service and hygiene standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
The Restaurant
Manager will handle reservations, monitor food and beverage quality, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and address guest feedback promptly and professionally. Additional responsibilities include managing inventory,
supporting budgeting and cost control, implementing promotional activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise diverse staff members.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel food & beverage operations, including service standards, menu familiarity, and guest relations.
- Proficiency in operational administration such as scheduling, inventory management, billing oversight, and basic reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Ability to handle guest complaints and challenging situations calmly, with sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards, with commitment to compliance.
- Comfort with basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems; complete knowledge of ids software.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management is a must.
- Prior experience as a Restaurant Manager in a hotel or high-volume restaurant is highly beneficial.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
