Company Description Singularity Student Lab SRMAP is a next-generation, student-driven innovation and research ecosystem at SRM University AP, created to bridge academic learning with real-world technological development. Established in 2025 as the university’s second major student-led technical lab, it focuses on hands-on experience in cutting-edge domains and interdisciplinary collaboration. The lab’s vision is to build a self-sustaining ecosystem that cultivates future tech leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs who address real-world problems using advanced technologies.

Its mission emphasizes project-based learning beyond the classroom, a culture of research and experimentation, support for student-led startups, patents, and publications, and access to industry-grade tools, mentorship, and infrastructure. Within months, the lab has already achieved national hackathon recognition, progress in research publications and patents, and participation in conferences, including international events, under the leadership of its founder and supporting faculty.

Role Description The Research Assistant role at Singularity Student Lab is a full-time, on-site position based in Visakhapatnam.

The Research

Assistant will support ongoing research projects by conducting literature reviews, assisting with experimental design, and performing data collection and analysis. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with faculty mentors and student teams, maintaining accurate research documentation, and contributing to reports, presentations,



and publications. The role involves using laboratory tools and software, ensuring proper handling of research materials, and following safety and ethical guidelines.

The Research

Assistant will also help organize research meetings, coordinate project timelines, and contribute to the lab’s innovation-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Research and Analytical Skills to support experimental design, problem-solving, and critical evaluation of findings.
- Candidates should possess Data Analysis skills, including familiarity with statistical methods, data visualization tools, or relevant software.
- Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills, such as basic experimental techniques, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for documenting work, preparing reports, and collaborating with diverse interdisciplinary teams.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with emerging technologies, prior experience in academic or industry research settings, and proficiency with tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- A bachelor’s degree (or ongoing enrollment) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, strong time-management skills, and a demonstrated interest in innovation, startups, or tech-focused projects are advantageous.
