Amar Polymers manufactures OEM-standard wind turbine components machined, fabricated, and rubber moulded — for global turbine brands including Suzlon, Vestas, and Gamesa/SGRE. We are hiring a Quality Engineer to ensure every component meets OEM drawing specifications and passes mechanical, chemical, and NDT verification before it leaves the plant, and to drive root-cause fixes when it doesn't.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials (metals, rubber compounds, bought-out components) against OEM and internal material specifications

- Carry out in-process checks across machining, fabrication, and rubber moulding stages to catch deviations early

- Perform final inspection and testing before dispatch, including mechanical, chemical, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on critical structural parts

- Judge and sign off on critical quality characteristics (dimensional accuracy, material integrity, bond quality for rubber-to-metal components) against OEM drawings

- Investigate customer complaints, field returns, and in-process rejections; lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA)

- Maintain and calibrate measuring/testing instruments (Vernier, micrometer, CMM, hardness/tensile testers as applicable)

- Maintain traceable quality documentation — inspection reports, NDT records, material test certificates,



non-conformance reports — available for OEM audit on request

- Ensure processes comply with ISO 9001 and relevant OEM/industry quality standards

- Coordinate with Production on in-process rejections and support first-article/trial-run inspections for new components or OEM approvals

- Support customer and third-party quality audits, including OEM-specific approval audits

- Track quality KPIs (rejection rate, NDT pass rate, customer complaints, first-pass yield) and report to management

- Support vendor/sub-supplier quality evaluation for outsourced components

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering

- Experience in quality control within a machining, fabrication, or rubber moulding environment — wind energy, auto ancillary, or heavy engineering background preferred

- Working knowledge of NDT methods, mechanical/chemical testing, and measuring instruments

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and structured problem-solving tools (RCA, CAPA, 7QC tools); exposure to OEM approval processes (PPAP/FAI or equivalent) is a plus

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and OEM tolerance specifications

- Robust attention to detail, documentation discipline, and cross-functional coordination skills
