Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to oversee and implement quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction works, materials, and processes comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans .
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and applicable standards.
- Inspect civil and construction works at various stages of execution.
- Review and approve Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Inspection Requests (IRs/WIRs) .
- Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) , checklists, method statements, and quality records.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers on quality-related matters.
- Conduct inspections of incoming construction materials and verify material test certificates and approvals.
- Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, form-work, masonry, waterproofing, finishing, and other civil works as applicable.
- Witness and coordinate required laboratory and field tests, including concrete, soil, aggregate, and other construction-material testing.
- Ensure that testing and inspection activities are carried out according to project requirements and relevant standards.
- Identify non-conformists and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where required.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure of NCRs.
- Maintain proper documentation of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, approvals, and quality records.




- Conduct regular site quality inspections and identify potential quality issues before they become major defects.
- Assist in internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and calibration records are maintained.
- Review shop drawings, material submitting, technical submissions, and relevant project documents from a quality perspective.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports as required.
- Promote a robust quality culture among site teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS/BS/ASTM/ACI standards and project-specific specifications, as applicable.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
- Experience in handling NCRs, corrective actions, inspections, and quality records.
- Knowledge of relevant construction codes and standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site and project teams.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or high-rise construction projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems .
- Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and inspection software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office , particularly Word and Excel.
- Relevant QA/QC certifications will be an advantage.
