Company Description:

Socyio is a growing influencer marketing technology company helping businesses and creators build meaningful partnerships through technology, data, and automation.

We are building products that simplify influencer discovery, campaign management, creator relationships, reporting, and content workflows. Our team works in a fast-paced environment where technology, creativity, and continuous improvement come together.

We are looking for someone who is curious, technically strong, detail-oriented, and obsessed with finding things that don't work.

Role Description:

We are looking for a QA & Product Engineer Intern who will be responsible for testing our web and mobile products, identifying bugs and usability issues, and helping our development team continuously improve the product.

This is not a traditional manual QA role.

We are looking for someone who can think like a developer and test like a QA engineer — someone who doesn't just report a bug but tries to understand why it happened and, wherever possible, can help fix or improve it.

You will work closely with our product, design, and development teams to ensure that new features are reliable, user-friendly, and production-ready.

Work Mode:

Work Mode: WFH

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: 0–1 years / Freshers with strong technical skills can apply

Working hours: 10 hours (flexible timing)

Key Responsibilities:

- Test web and mobile applications across different devices, browsers, and user scenarios.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, regression tests, and acceptance tests.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies.
- Test new features before they are released to users.
- Perform functional, UI/UX, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Test different user flows and edge cases to identify potential product issues.
- Verify APIs, forms, authentication,

permissions, notifications, dashboards, and other product functionality.
- Work closely with developers to understand technical issues and verify fixes.
- Monitor previously reported bugs and ensure they are properly resolved.
- Identify usability issues and suggest improvements to product workflows.
- Help improve our overall QA processes, testing documentation, and release checklist.
- Conduct post-release testing to ensure important features continue to work correctly.
- Where technically capable, fix minor bugs, frontend issues, UI issues, and other product improvements directly.
- Continuously explore the product from a user's perspective and identify opportunities to improve the overall experience.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who has a combination of QA/testing skills + basic software development knowledge.

Required Skills:

- Strong understanding of software testing and QA fundamentals.
- Ability to create detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability.
- Good understanding of web applications and how they work.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with browser Developer Tools.
- Ability to identify and reproduce bugs systematically.
- Understanding of APIs and basic API testing.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Jira, Linear, ClickUp, Trello, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Developer Skills — Preferred:

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be preferred:

- React / React Native
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Node.js
- REST APIs
- Git / GitHub
- SQL / databases
- Postman
- Browser Developer Tools

You don't need to be an expert developer. However, you should be comfortable reading code, understanding basic technical issues, and making small changes when required. Who Would Be a Great Fit?

This role is ideal for someone who:

- Enjoys breaking things and figuring out why they broke.
- Doesn't accept "it works on my machine" as an answer.
- Naturally thinks about edge cases.
- Can look at a feature and ask, "What happens if the user does this?"
- Is comfortable working with developers and understanding technical concepts.
- Wants to grow into a QA Engineer, Automation Engineer, Product Engineer, or Software Developer.
- Takes ownership rather than simply reporting problems.
- Is curious about how products work under the hood.

Nice to Have:

- Experience testing SaaS products.
- Experience with mobile application testing.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or similar.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- API testing experience.
- Git/GitHub experience.
- Experience working with startups or early-stage products.
- Experience with AI-powered products or social media/influencer marketing platforms.

What You Will Get:

- Hands-on experience working on a real-world technology product.
- Prospect to work directly with the product and development team.
- Exposure to the complete product development lifecycle.
- Opportunity to contribute not just to QA but also to actual product improvements and development.
- Fast-paced startup environment with significant learning opportunities.
- Potential for a full-time opportunity based on performance.
