Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager – Mechanical to manage overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control compliances for GBL projects. The role will be responsible for quality planning, inspection, documentation, client/TPI coordination and supervision of QA/QC activities across project procurement and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare QC documentation for tenders and proposals and support the tendering team.
- Prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, QC Procedures and Project Quality Plans.
- Prepare and manage WPS, PQR and WQT and coordinate client approvals.
- Facilitate inspections during procurement and construction.
- Supervise fit-up, welding consumables and welding processes.
- Monitor inspection activities and coordinate external inspection reports.
- Review NDT and PWHT procedures, Material Certificates and Equipment Test Certificates.
- Coordinate with project site teams, subcontractors, clients and TPI representatives.
- Lead and coordinate QC Engineers/Inspectors at project sites.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and prepare final project dossiers.
- Coordinate PWHT, NDT and PMI activities.
- Support punch-list preparation and as-built documentation.
- Witness paint/holiday tests, pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests.
- Monitor welding processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and SAW.




- Review RT films and inspection reports as per project specifications and standards.
- Witness mechanical testing including tensile, impact, hardness, elongation, chemical and micro testing.
- Conduct periodic quality audits, identify process weaknesses and coordinate corrective actions.

Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Approx. 15 years of QA/QC experience in construction.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
- Solid experience in API 650 / API 620 tank construction.
- Hands-on experience in Tank Fabrication and Pipeline Projects.
- Experience in Structural Works.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards applicable to tanks and pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, PWHT, PMI and pressure testing.
- Good planning, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, TPI agencies, subcontractors and project teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with strong experience in tank fabrication, pipeline construction and mechanical QA/QC, along with proven managerial experience and exposure to API 650/620 projects, will be highly relevant for this position.
