This is a hands-on product QA role combining feature validation, test automation, API and integration testing,

performance and security testing, release validation, and ownership of customer-reported production issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Testing and Quality Assurance

- Understand product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, usability, and compatibility testing.
- Validate new features, enhancements, configuration changes, defect fixes, and production patches.
- Identify, document, prioritise, track, retest, and close defects through their complete lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, backlog refinement, demonstrations, release planning, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers and product teams to identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle.

2. Test Automation

- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Identify stable and high-value test cases for automation and continuously improve automation coverage.
- Analyse automation failures and distinguish between product defects, test-script issues, test-data problems, and environment failures.
- Integrate automated tests with build and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Maintain reusable automation utilities, test data, execution reports, and supporting documentation.

3. API and Integration Testing

- Test REST APIs, backend services, and integrations with internal and external systems.

- Review issue descriptions, logs, screenshots, configurations, API requests, database records, and other diagnostic information.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues in internal environments and document clear reproduction steps.
- Coordinate with customers, implementation teams, product owners, and developers to collect missing information and drive issues to resolution.
- Classify issues as product defects, configuration problems, data issues, environmental issues, integration failures,

or user errors.
- Validate patches, hotfixes, workarounds, data corrections, and permanent fixes before they are shared with customers.
- Perform impact analysis and focused regression testing for production fixes.
- Maintain transparent, accurate, and timely updates on customer tickets and internal escalations.
- Convert findings from production issues into regression test cases, automation coverage, product documentation,

monitoring improvements, and preventive quality actions.
- Participate in production release validation and post-release monitoring when required.
